TRAILERS
TOUS LES PLANS "INEDITS" Vous retrouverez bientôt plus de détails sur chacun
1 - TEASER ("EATERS OF THE DEAD") - Durée : Environ 1 minute. - Commentaire (pas de voix off) : "From the author of JURASSIC PARK, Michael Crichton / and the director of DIE HARD, John McTiernan / This spring / Pray for the living / EATERS OF THE DEAD / They're coming" - Accompagnement musical : Indéterminé (d'après certaines sources, il serait l'oeuvre de Graeme Revell, mais c'est peu probable).
I just saw a trailer for EATERS OF THE DEAD, at the showing of TOMORROW NEVER DIES, Friday evening. The trailer reveals very little about the film and has maybe one dark scene of Antonio [Banderas]. Almost can't tell it is him. The trailer is just a teaser. I believe for a real trailer to follow later. Very quickly scans thru scenes and says "Spring 98". It mentions Michael Crichton as the writer, and the director of DIE HARD, John McTierman. One scene is a fiery red sky and shades of black with Vikings on a hill. No real shots of Antonio except one very brief. I hope more follows in the coming months before the film comes out." ADRIENA (24/01/98) : "The trailer for EATERS OF THE DEAD tells you absolutely nothing about the movie, but it sure is pretty to watch." FAIRUZAS (31/01/98) : "Saw a cool trailer for EATERS OF THE DEAD before DEEP RISING. It didn't give away much plot as such, just a bunch of cool BRAVEHEART- style battle scenes. It might even be a teaser... Maybe there'll be a bigger better trailer out in a month or two?" BRYAN FRANKENSEUSS THEISS (31/01/98) : "This trailer made me finally understand why people always claim movie theaters are too loud. Of course, this trailer is mixed loud, and it keeps repeating that obnoxious metal scraping noise - it really is physically painful to watch. Some of the shots of burning things look pretty creepy, but I think it was a bad idea to combine Vikings with the pseudo-high tech Imaginary Forces typography style for the trailer." JOHN DOMBROW (31/01/98) : "I saw it too - short but very cool. This looks like an *extremely* dark, rugged, kick-ass CONAN THE BARBARIAN type adventure. I was really struck by just how edgy and dark Touchstone is marketing it (SEVEN-style credits and all). It gave me hope for a real return to form for John McTiernan (he's best when working in a serious mode ala PREDATOR & HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER, than comic book - DIE HARD III and LAST ACTION HERO), and EATERS looks like the most serious film he's attempted. Can't wait to see a full trailer." HCWALLER (19/02/98) : "Saw the trailer for the movie, looks good. I'm curious though, who are the bad guys? Are they supernatural beasts or just a bunch of rowdy barbarians in funky masks? The trailer makes it look like something supernatural. But I don't always buy what the trailers try to suggest!" ICKYBOY1 (18/04/98) : "There was a teaser attached to DEEP RISING that I saw, but this was when the movie was still titled EATERS OF THE DEAD... So they pulled this one pretty quickly when they decided to change the title. It didn't give away much though, just some dark, moody shots of landscapes, and a few flashes of battle scenes, and "From the director of DIE HARD" and that kinda thing... No full trailer exists as yet..." CARSON (03/06/98) : "EATERS OF THE DEAD... Movie was renamed and trailers were pulled... If you watched it in a dark theatre, with a high volume, a very creepy trailer... Nails on a blackboard." - Quelques captures d'écran (pour les petits malheureux qui n'auraient pas eu la chance de voir le teaser!) :
