Film star Antonio Banderas collapsed in agony on the set of his new movie and was whisked away by helicopter for treatment. Filming on EATERS OF THE DEAD was shut down for at least a week, and although doctors did extensive testing they're still not sure how serious Banderas' problem is. The EVITA star was filming in a remote area of Canada as his wife Melanie Griffith watched - and when he suddenly cried out in pain, she rushed to his side, took charge and reportedly ordered in the helicopter. A production aide on the film says, "Antonio was in so much pain he could hardly walk and Melanie couldn't stand to see him like that." The Spanish hunk was flown from the Canadian set to Vancouver, where he underwent a scan. The aide adds, "The swelling is preventing doctors from seeing everything but right now they think it might be a ruptured disc in Antonio's lower back."
