THE MOVIE ART OF MOVIE POSTER ARTWORK LAST UPDATED - June 12, 2018 NSS NUMBER ORDER Printed on all movie materials distributed through the National Screen Service, the NSS number consists of two numbers, then a slash (/), and one to four numbers. The first two numbers indicate the year of the theatrical release, the slash is a divider, and the last four numbers represent the sequential order of the movie for that year. For example, an NSS number of 59/828 indicates that SOLOMON AND SHEBA was released in 1959, and was the 828th movie title coded by NSS for the year 1959.
